(Love Is Like A) Heatwave Lyrics:

Original songwriter: Eddie Holland, Lamont Dozier, Brian Holland Whenever I'm with her ooh, something inside

Starts to burnin' and I'm filled with desire

Could it be the devil in me or is this the way love's supposed to be

It's like a heatwave burning in my heart

I can't keep from crying it's tearing me apart

Whenever she calls my name ooh, softly sweet and plain

I feel, well I feel feel that burning flame

'Cos I got that pressure got a hold on me

Oh, is this the way love's supposed to be

It's like a heatwave burning in my heart

Can't keep from crying it's tearing me apart

Sometimes I stare in space tears all over my face

I can't explain it don't understand it

I ain't never felt like this before

Well how can it be it has me amazed

I don't know what to do my head's in a haze

It's like a heatwave

Come home yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

You'd look in love, girl

Could be up

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Ooh Lord, Lord, heatwave

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Honey, likely, oh

Ooh, yeah, hey

Heatwave, like a heatwave

Heatwave, like a heatwave
